The relaxed atmosphere at this pretty, well-groomed, sporty 18-holer makes it welcoming and fun for all ages and ability levels. Hunter is a terrific place for a recreational round with friends…for parents playing with youngsters…for beginners, juniors, seniors…for competitive golfers looking to finesse certain aspects of their game in a low-key setting. While many golfers here opt to walk, Hunter offers power carts for those who prefer to ride. Hunter Country Club is located on Illinois Highway 173 about 20 minutes west of the Tri-State Tollway. Rates are “old-fashioned” too—$16 weekdays ($26 w/cart) and $20 weekends ($30 w/cart). Senior discounts are available.
